The Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce hosts several fun and traditional events for our community each holiday season.  We hope you’ll join the festivities!
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, December 7th
5:30 pm
Join us for Bishop’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the City Park.  Enjoy cookies, cocoa and live entertainment.  Kids can visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus beginning at 4:30 pm in front of the Chamber of Commerce.
Street of Lights
Friday, December 7th
6:00-9:00 pm
Following the Tree Lighting, stroll downtown and get a jump start on your holiday shopping.  Have your Street of Lights map stamped by at least six participating merchants for a chance to win prizes, gift certificates and cash!  Many merchants offering refreshments and special sales.
Main Street Parade
Saturday
December 8th
10:00 am
Don’t miss Bishop’s annual Christmas Parade.  This year, we’re celebrating the theme “Hooked on Christmas!”
Marching Bands, Floats, Horses, Classic Cars and Santa!
Holiday Mixer
Tuesday, December 11th
6:00-7:30 pm
Union Bank
Enjoy Complimentary Appetizers Provided by Classy Cowgirl Caterers, Live Music By Sweet Adelines, No-Host Bar, Raffle Prizes and Great Company.  All Chamber Members and Guests Welcome – Bring a Friend!

Decorating Contest
The Bishop Chamber gives awards to the best displays of Christmas Spirit!
This year’s top prize is a $200 gift card provided by High Country Lumber!
It’s free and fun to enter, just give us a call at (760)873-8405 with your home or store address.  Judging will be December 18th.
Angel Tree
We’ve partnered with Salvation Army to ensure that all children in our community receive gifts this Christmas!
Stop by the Bishop Chamber Office to choose an Angel Card from the tree, purchase a gift for a local child and make someone’s Christmas bright.
It is the mission of the Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau to promote business, tourism, and greater Bishop for the betterment of the community and its residents.
