MONET warrant leads to arrests in the Bridgeport area

The Mono County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MONET), with the assistance of the Mono County Sheriff’s Office, concluded a warrant investigation in the Bridgeport area.

Within the past week, as part of a continuing investigation, MONET agents, and the Mono County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a search warrant at a residence in the Bridgeport area. During a physical search of the residence, MONET agents and Mono County Sheriff’s Deputies subsequently discovered and recovered: approximately 20 pounds of processed marijuana; 225 mature and immature marijuana plants growing inside and outside the residence; and multiple illegal firearms.

Jeffrey GreeneJeffrey Greene, age 50, of Bridgeport, CA, and Justis Daniels, age 43, of Big Sur, CA, were operating a marijuana cultivation facility inside Mr. Greene’s Justis Daniels_1residence. Mr. Greene stated he was under his legal rights of his medical marijuana card and as part of an LLC as the “farmer” for co-op marijuana stores in Mammoth Lakes and Los Angeles. Mr. Daniels was working under Mr. Greene to maintain the growing operation. Upon investigation, Mr. Greene’s medical marijuana card had expired and he had no legal documentation showing he was the “farmer” for the co-op marijuana stores. Both Mr. Greene and Mr. Daniels were placed under arrest and transported to the Mono County Jail in Bridgeport without incident.

Jeffrey Greene, age 50, of Bridgeport, CA, was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale and unauthorized cultivation and harvesting. All charges are pending with the Mono County District Attorney’s Office.

Justis Daniels, age 43, of Big Sur, CA, was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale; unauthorized cultivation and harvesting; possession of assault weapons; and possession of short-barreled rifles. All charges are pending with the Mono County District Attorney’s Office.
