MONDAY SEPT 01 2014

Whoa! September already. Just a bit of the past (yesterday), the last trough that entered our area and its associated jet, funneled thru Walker Pass and created 72 mph winds down thru Indian Springs (over by Ridgecrest). Today and into Tuesday, weak ridging will allow temps to stabilize. Then a broad trough off the coast will drop temps to more seasonal values Wednesday. So as we near Fall, the weather will be fairly stable, creating some great Eastern Sierra weather for us. Right now, no 100s in sight.

Owens Valley:

Today: Sunny. Highs 94 – 97 / Lows 56 – 66. Winds S 10 – 15 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny. Highs 93  – 96 / Lows 60 – 70. Winds SE 10 – 15 mph.

Town of Mammoth Lakes (7,800 – 8,200 feet):

Today: Sunny.  Highs 78 / Lows 50. Winds SE 10  – 15 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny. Highs 77 / Lows 49. Winds SW 5  mph.

Mono County:

Today: Sunny. Highs 80 – 90 / Lows 40 – 50. Winds E 10 – 15 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny. Highs 80 – 90 / Lows 37 – 47. Winds S 10  mph.

DEFINITIONS: Chance of rain, snow or thunderstorms

Chance = 30 – 50%
