NEWEST MLPD RESERVE OFFICER

The Mammoth Lakes Police Department (MLPD) has a new addition.  On October 9, Grant

Zemel was sworn in as MLPD’s newest Reserve Officer and presented his badge by Police Chief Dan Watson.  Reserve Officer Zemel has been a full time police officer for 16 years.  The last 7 years have been with the Beaumont Police Department.  Before that, he was a police officer with the City of Colton for 9 years.  Reserve Officer Zemel will travel to Mammoth approximately once a month to work shifts in the Town of Mammoth.

Reserve Officer Zemel will be filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Reserve Officer Ingrid Braun who will become Mono County Sheriff on January 1.

Reserve Officer Zemel is married with two children, age 12 and 14.
