Whitmore earns top honor

Mono County issued the following press release:

The Mono County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that Dylan Whitmore was named “Deputy Probation Officer of the Year for Small Counties” by the California Probation Parole Corrections Association (CPPCA).

Regarding this award, Tracie Neal, Interim Chief Probation Officer says “Our office is excited for Dylan, he is a dedicated, reliable and valuable employee and we appreciate that the CPPCA recognized his efforts and accomplishments in the probation field.”

The award was presented at CPPCA’s 80th Annual Conference in Universal City, California on September 15th and is given to a probation officer working with adults or juveniles in a county with a population of 50,000 or less and who has made a significant contribution to the field of corrections and/or has exhibited exemplary job performance.

Jim Arkens, Mono County CAO, comments, “I extend my sincere congratulations to Dylan on receiving this award, and my appreciation for his excellent work and professionalism in his field. Dylan is a fine example of the level of dedication and hard work that is typical of the Mono County staff I am privileged to work with on a daily basis in the county.”
