Friday afternoon at about 2:00 pm, emergency crews in the Bishop area responded to Highway 6 and the Wye for a report of an accident.

On scene, Bishop Fire, Inyo Sheriff Deputies, Highway Patrol, Bishop Police, and Symons Ambulance crews found a gold four door sedan off the side of the road, entangled in a barbed wire fence. The vehicle came to rest facing opposite to the direction of traffic. No one appeared to be seriously injured in the accident.

Traffic was slowed in the area for about a half an hour as emergency workers blocked the right hand lane of northbound 395 to deal with the accident.

What led to the wreck was unknown at news time, but Bishop Police report that there were no injuries and no arrests.
