Born December 2, 1941 in Stewart, NV, Anthony Stone passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. Anthony was raised in Big Pine, CA where he resided at the Indian Camp. His interest when he was young was baseball, fishing, and hunting. He then met his true love, Patricia Summers of Bishop, CA and married in 1959, to whom he was married for 55 years.

Anthony went to work at the sawmill, then to the Pumice mine in Lee Vining, CA, but he finally found his calling in road construction for the Union, where he worked for 35 years. He loved to visit with people and to talk about the good ole days. He also loved his family very much and enjoyed doing things with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all that knew him. He was very caring, giving, and loving and would go out of his way for anyone that needed help.

Anthony was preceded in death by father; Raymond Stone Sr.; mother, Evelina Stone; brother, Thomas Stone. Survivors include son, Paul and wife Angie Stone of Big Pine, CA; daughter, Katrina Stone of Bishop, CA; daughter, Leann and husband Harrison Begay of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter Patricia (Stone) Cunha of bishop; grandchildren include; Melissa Smith of Auburn, CA; Raymond Stone of Gardnerville, NV; Samantha Stone of Lake Tahoe, NV; TaVooSee Fredericks of Bishop; Anthony Eddy of Bishop; Harrison Begay Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX; Summer Begay of Grand Prairie, TX; Morgan Cunha of Bishop: John-Anthony Cunha of Bishop; great grandchildren; Mason Smith, Haiwee and Saiyah Fredericks, Anevay Begay; brothers; Frances (Charley) Stone; Raymond (Junior) Stone; Ross Stone; Jonathan Stone; Luke Stone; sisters; Loretta Parsons; Felicia Andreas; Ramon Wheeler; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Brune Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at the Woodman Cemetary in Big Pine, CA. Potluck luncheon will follow services at Allan Spoonhunter Gymnasium in Big Pine.
