paiutepalaceAfter a majority vote, the Bishop Paiute tribe has elected to approve the sale and service of alcohol at the Paiute Palace Casino in Bishop.  Marketing Director Tim McGlynn said this means the tribe will proceed to the planning phase of this new development.

In a press release the Tribal Chairman Dale “Chad” Delgado, Jr. announced the recent majority vote on the plan for alcohol service at the casino.  He also said, “We look ahead to a new and exciting future in gaming and entertainment for the Owens Valley area.”

Work will initially focus on application for the liquor license.  McGlynn said it is a long process, but the tribe is forging ahead.  He said they have no time line yet.
