chp.jpgOn Friday, July 4, 2014, a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer assigned to the Bridgeport Area office came upon a non-injury traffic collision on US-395, north of Bridgeport.  A preliminary investigation revealed, Ms. Nadima Emerson, age 48, of Ridgecrest, California, was driving northbound US-395, north of Bridgeport, in an area commonly referred to as “Huntoon Canyon” with her passenger Mr. Robert Hess, age 53, of Ridgecrest, California.  

For unknown reasons, Ms. Emerson lost control of her 2003 Mercury Sable which traveled off the roadway and collided with a fence.  With the assistance of the Mono County Sheriff’s Department, a probable cause search was conducted and multiple controlled substances were located.  Ultimately, Ms. Emerson and Mr. Hess were arrested for possession of controlled substances and transported to the CHP office for further evaluation.  The vehicle was towed, and both individuals were later booked booked into the Mono County Jail in Bridgeport, California, for felony violations.
