A new executive director will guide the Friends of the Inyo. Stacy Corless, who has worked as the Communications Director of the organization for the past two years, now takes on the top role.

Former director, Paul McFarland, moved with his family to relocate in Santa Cruz temporarily. The Friends of the Inyo board recently named Corless Executive Director. She has served as Communications Director for two years and helped manage stewardship programs in Mammoth Lakes.

Stacy is a 12-year Eastern Sierra resident and is also known as a contributor to local publications, including Eastside magazine, Mammoth Monthly, and Wilderness Press guidebooks. Stacy is a former language and literature instructor both locally at Cerro Coso College and at the University of California, Berkeley.

Friends of the Inyo is a self-described non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, exploration and stewardship of the region’s public lands.
