LPHS(NEWS RELEASE FROM LONE PINE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR VICTOR HOPPER)

On Friday, September 20, 2011 Lone Pine High School was given a $10,000 donation by CG Roxane. Company spokeman, Mr. Patrice Marquet indicated that “As a member of the community, we are proud to partner with the Lone Pine schools to provide a quality educational environment to the students and staff; many of whom have parents or family members working for our company.” According to Principal Victor Hopper, the donation will be used to purchase a much needed scissor lift and a new scoreboard. “The maintenance staff is stretched thin and the scissor lift will save the crew time when having to work on high projects like replacing a light bulb or putting up a Booster Club banner in the gym. Also, with spectators’ nerves enlivened at volleyball and basketball games, the challenge with our current scoreboard quickly thwarts the excitement and replaces it with frustration when the clock malfunctions”, said Hopper. We are grateful for such business sponsors, like CG Roxane, and their continuous pursuit to expand their community participation.
