Sunny and warm today as high pressure rules. But, starting tomorrow, a rather strong upper level trough approaches the West Coast and moves inland through Wednesday. This will bring a sharp drop in temperatures, gusty winds, showers and thunderstorms, with higher elevation snow, particularly in Mono County. The system quickly moves east later Wednesday, followed by a building ridge. This will create significant warming trend through the Holiday weekend. Daytime temps by Sunday in the Owens Valley should reach the triple digits and Mammoth will be in the low to mid 80s.
