FRIDAY Nov 01 2013

After a chilly Halloween night, temperatures will attempt to rebound as ridging off the West Coast builds in through Saturday. We might even see a few degrees above normal by Saturday. However, Saturday will also be a transition day, as a cold front sweeps through the PACNW and Northern California during the evening. This will lower temperatures Sunday and bring in some gusty winds and clouds as well. Also theres a slight chance of showers in Mono County, northward. System kicks east into the Great Basin Monday night, leaving temperatures some 10 – 20 degrees below those of Saturday. Tuesday through Thursday sees a mild warm up as ridging once again takes hold. Large temperature swings, like we’ve seen of late, are not unusual for this time of year. By Friday of next week, another cold system moves into the area, so stay tuned for updates.
