Well last night and Saturday night, the atmosphere over our district was highly charged with moisture and electricity (convection). All due to an upper level disturbance from the Las Vegas area, combining with Monsoonal moisture from the SE. Isolated rain, heavy at times, thunder and lightening produced nocturnal thunderstorms in both Inyo and Mono Counties. Thunderstorms look to continue in Mono County Monday and Tuesday with a slight chance there. The Owens Valley, on the other hand, looks to dry out.
