Large scale ridge continues its hold over the Four Corners Area, as an upper low digs southward towards the PACNW coast. These factors have set up a SW flow with temperatures just about normal for this time of year. As that SW flow continues, thunderstorms have been pushed farther northward, NE California and NW Nevada today. So mostly sunny skies for our district thru Friday. By Saturday that upper flow turns more southeasterly again, allowing for the possibility of monsoonal moisture to move back into the area. This in turn could produce a low chance of high based thunderstorms on Sunday. I’ll keep my eye on this for you.

Owens Valley:

Today: Sunny. Highs 96 – 99 / Lows 62 – 72. Winds SW 10 mph.
Thursday: Sunny. Highs 98 – 101 / Lows 65 – 75. Winds S 10 – 15 mph.

Mammoth Lakes (7,800 – 8,200 feet):

Today: Sunny. Highs 75 / Lows 49. Winds SW 5 – 10 mph.
Thursday: Sunny.  Highs 79 / Lows 51.  Winds SW 5 – 10 mph.

Mono County:

Today: Sunny. Highs 77 – 87 / Lows 39 – 49. Winds SW 10 – 15 mph.
Thursday: Sunny.  Highs 80 – 90 / Lows 41 – 51. Winds S 10 mph.
