Large scale upper low still affecting the district today. I expect isolated shower and thunderstorm activity to continue today in the Owens Valley and end of week for Mono County. A nocturnal storm, here and there, still possible over the mountains. By Thursday, that low begins to kicks east. However, another low looks to form over the region Friday and into the weekend with dry conditions, cooler temperatures and increased winds. Right now, limited convection over the mountains at best. More on this as the week progresses.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

Today: 20% chance of isolated showers and t-storms. Highs near 80 and lows 55. Winds NE 5- 10 mph.

Wednesday: 20% chance of isolated t-storms. Highs 82 and lows in the low 50s. Winds NW 5 – 10 mph.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

Today: 40% chance of scattered t-storms. Highs 60 and lows 40. Winds E 5 mph.

Wednesday: 30% chance of isolated t-storms. Highs 63 and lows 42. Winds W 5 mph.

FOR MONO COUNTY:

Today: Becoming mostly cloudy with isolated to scattered t-storms possible. Highs 64 – 74 and lows 35 – 45. Winds E 10 mph.
