As for the weather, high pressure continues to build over S. California and this factor will keep any monsoonal moisture away from our district until at least the early part of next week. So clear skies and some afternoon cumulus over the mtns. can be expected. As for temperatures, a slight cooling (about 1 degree a day) will happen through the weekend.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

Today: Sunny. Highs 96 / lows 57. Winds SE 5 – 10 mph.
Thursday: Sunny. Highs 94 / lows 56. Winds SE 6 – 8 mph.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 79 / lows 52. Winds S 5 – 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs 77 / lows 50. Winds SW 5 – 10 mph.

FOR MONO COUNTY:

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 83 – 93 / lows 44 – 54. Winds S 10 – 15 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny becoming partly cloudy. Highs 81 – 91 / lows 42  – 52. Winds SW 10 – 15 mph.
