FRIDAY APR 11 2014
Satellite image shows low pressure system tracking thru SOCAL later today. This system has tapped into a sub-tropical moisture pool with the bulk of its moisture headed to our south. However its close enough to allow for a slight chance of mountain showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into Saturday. Slight cooling will also come with this as well. By later Saturday, system moves on to Arizona, leaving cloudy skies in its place. Upper ridging builds back in for the remainder of the weekend and into Monday. Next Tuesday into Wednesday, we just might get a bigger cool down, as a more significant storm bangs thru the PACNW. Here the moisture is to our north, but we have a chance of showers over the mountains again, with snow levels dropping down to 6,000 feet. I will keep you updated on this system, so stay tuned.
