Today Columbus Day, will be dry with temps running a bit above normal, as a Rex Block pattern dominates our weather. That pattern will shift east as the week progresses, allowing for cooling to take place. In addition a possible long fetch of zonal moisture could effect Mono County later this week. Right now the bulk of that moisture looks to remain to our north. But by Friday some of that moisture could shift south, bringing a chance of precipitation from Mono County and Yosemite north. Where it does snow, levels will run about 8,000 feet. Windy conditions are expected in Mono County as well.
