An upper level trough continues to develop along the PACNW coast steering drier air into our area. As the trough deepens, it will sag down along the California Coast. This will keep our area precipitation free through the weekend. Temperatures will remain near seasonal norms.

This forecast would normally indicate a nice weather pattern here in the Eastern Sierra. However, a thick blanket of unhealthy smoked (from the Lion Fire), is hovering over the mountains and the Owens Valley this morning, making things less desirable for those susceptible to respiratory problems.
