According to officers, at around 8 am Tuesday, a Mono Sheriff’s Deputy was following up on a report of a suspected illegal marijuana grow in June Lake. Deputies and narcotics agents drove to the home of Timothy Marsh, 27, of June Lake.

When they went inside Mr. Marsh’s home, deputies said they found numerous marijuana plants ad other supplies used for growing marijuana. Officers said they determined that Mr. Marsh was not in compliance with current marijuana laws in terms of growing marijuana in his home.

Officers also said that as a result of the damage to the man’s home from the marijuana grow, the Mono County Building Department subsequently red tagged the residence. Deputies took Mr. Marsh to the Mono County Jail in Bridgeport where, at last word, he was in custody pending an investigation by the District Attorney’s office.
