Mammoth Lakes, CA, – Save the date! Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra is excited to announce the Island Extravaganza, the nonprofit’s largest fundraiser, will take place at Canyon Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 from 6-11pm. Join Disabled Sports for a Margaritaville-themed evening complete with dinner, live music, raffle and silent auction. Highlights of this year’s silent auction include a Kodiak Alaska bed and breakfast with gourmet dinner cruise and charter fishing trip, a stay in Kauai, $500 gift certificate for advertising on KMMT, many family-fun packages from Mammoth Mountain and tons more. The grand raffle prize is a Maui vacation for two for 5 nights…airfare and lodging!!
Island Extravaganza is a popular event and a huge success. Last year over 350 people attended and Disabled Sports raised funds that provided scholarships for adaptive students and supported the rehabilitation of wounded service men and women through the Wounded Warriors program.
“We’re looking forward to another rockin’ Island Extravaganza,” said Kathy Copeland, Director of Disabled Sports. “For every $75 we raise, we can give an adaptive ski or snowboard lesson scholarship to a student. This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and ensures that we can continue providing adaptive programs to anyone who needs them. We never say no because someone is short money!!”
Help support Disabled Sports’ fundraising efforts while enjoying a night of dinner and live music with raffle and silent auction at Island Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec.10 at Canyon Lodge. Event tickets are $55 each and include dinner, live music, and a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets are five for $20 or one for $5 and you don’t need to be present to win. Music by Soul Reason…Mike Hoover and friends … and DJ Spencer will be spinning vinyl and keeping everyone on the dance floor!
