Press release

The famous Upside Down House on the grounds of the Mono Basin History Museum is decorated and ready for the holiday season, in its special upside-down way.

Come peak in the windows at the upside down elves and Santa and drive by after dark to see the upside-down “candles” flickering in the windows.  The Mono Basin History Museum is at 129 Mattly Avenue in Lee Vining, at the south end of Hess Park.

Though the museum itself is closed for the season, the grounds are always available, with displays of mining and farm equipment, and Nellie Bly O’Bryan’s famous upside down miner’s cabin.

Pictured are Janet Carle, Linda LaPierre, Dave Swisher, and David Carle, after decorating the Upside Down House.
