The second annual Mammoth Film Festival has come to town. Between Thursday and Saturday November 22nd, 64 short films and features are scheduled to be shown at various venues in town, like Lakanuki, the Grand Sierra Lodge, and the Mammoth Visitor Center.film_festival.jpg

Mammoth resident Lori Ciccarellis film about autism was accepted in the festival. Her film entitled JJ's Journey plays twice, once at 4:45 Saturday and again at 12:45 on Tuesday at the Forest Service Visitor Center. The first film of the festival, was scheduled to start at 9:00 pm, Thursday, in the Grand Sierra Lodge. It is described as a musical documentary tragic-comedy called Courting Condi. The documentary film follows a musician in his quest to woo Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

At the end of the Mammoth Film Festival, awards will go out for the finalists in documentary, foreign film, drama, comedy, and the best over all feature film.

One $25 pass gets you into all the events at the film festival this year. The pass is available between 9-5 at the restaurant, Lulus. More information on the Mammoth Film Festival website.
