Bishop Volunteer firefighters were called into action at about 4:15 Wednesday morning for a structure fire on See Vee Lane. Chief Ray Seguine reports that when the fire fighters arrived on scene the shop building behind the house was fully engulfed in flames. 18 fire fighters worked to suppress the blaze but also to keep the fire from spreading.

The burnt shell of the outbuilding was all that remained today. With a metal roof much of the heat from the fire was contained in the building leading to heavy damage. Seguine says that the fire started in the front room of the outbuilding under what so far appears to be suspicious, origins. What caused this fire was still under investigation. Cal Fire investigators were scheduled to arrive to investigate the cause.
