YeeHaw…thanks for the nice shout out Sierra Wave Media!

Ya’ll are invited to attend our upcoming FUNdraiser event. Proceeds go to help keep the Mammoth Museum at the Hayden Cabin open (and to pay the band)!! Since we have not received any funding from either the Town or the County this year we welcome and appreciate your generosity, memberships and donations.

    Regards,

Southern Mono Historical Society Board volunteer Secretary, Publicist, Membership, Newsletter, Web and Facebook Mistress, B. Richter

The town spends millions of dollars every year to entice people to come to Mammoth. Then when they get here — there’s nothing here.

Spend the money that is spent to get people here on stuff that makes being here better.

When people come to the Sierras’,if they choose Mammoth it’s to ski during the day and raise hell at night in the “village”….if a family chooses to relax, enjoy the scenery, camp, fish and actually vacation, speaking for myself when I was younger and living down south,I chose Lee Vining and Bridgeport…much quieter and secluded, nicer people, and MUCH better fishing and camping…..just sayin’…
