Two Bishop residents, 48-year-old Jeff Clifton Paco Sr., and a male juvenile, have been arrested for sales of marijuana, among other charges, with information that sales were allegedly taking place in and around Bishop Union High School.

An investigation by the Inyo Narcotics Enforcement Team led to the arrests.

According to a press release from INET, Friday, March 23, INET agents along with members of  the Inyo County Special Enforcement Detail, Inyo County Sheriff’s deputies and Bishop Police Department and CHP officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in the Bishop area.

The search resulted in the arrests of Paco Sr. and a male juvenile, both of Bishop. Paco Sr. was arrested and booked for sales of marijuana, maintaining a residence for sales of drugs, possession of narcotics paraphenalia, child endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Paco Sr. was taken to Inyo County Jail in Independence with bail set at $10,000.

The male juvenile was taken into custody for sales of marijuana and transported to the Inyo County Juvenile Detention Center.

The press release states that during the course of the investigation, INET agents received information that some of the sales of marijuana were occurring in and around Bishop High School.  INET agents are continuing the investigations and and said they will be working to apprehend anyone who facilitates the illegal sale of drugs.
