The officer attempted to overtake the motorcycle, which continued in excess of 130 MPH, splitting lanes (riding between vehicles), and passing vehicles on the right.  After approximately 30 miles in excess of 130 MPH, the rider yielded to the right shoulder of US-395 at Pine Creek Road, north of Bishop, California.

The officer contacted the rider, Aaron J. Bieker, 25, of San Diego, California, and placed him under arrest for reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.  Mr. Bieker was booked into the Mono County Jail in Bridgeport, California.  Mr. Bieker’s motorcycle, a 2014 Yamaha FZ-09, was impounded for thirty days.

Officers from the CHP Bishop Area office assisted with the arrest.
