Gidget needs a home.

In Big Pine, the Animal Shelter is at full capacity, as usual. They have plenty of dogs of many varieties and plenty of cats and kittens.

In fact, some animals have gone out to foster homes temporarily. This makes more room at the shelter and gives some dogs a chance to get acclimated.

The Inyo Shelter is open Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 3pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4pm. Call them at 938-2715.
The Whitmore Animal Shelter outside of Mammoth Lakes is open Tuesday through Saturday 10:30am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Call 935-4734.

They have dogs and cats for adoption. Right now, lab mixes and a Jack Russell mix plus a chow mix. Some loving cats and kittens.

As the weather turns cold, the homeless animals need more help. If you’re considering a pet, check out the shelters.
