state_fair-7-20As thousands flock to the State Fair in Sacramento, Inyo County’s exhibit won a gold ribbon. Rich and Kathy White of Independence, who have handled the exhibit and volunteers, said they hosted 4,000 visitors in the first 5 days of the Fair.

The White’s said that Ruby Garza’s 3D mural panels, which make up the majority of the exhibit, was a big hit with the crowds. The exhibit also included six video/slide shows and other original art work by local artists.

The theme of the Fair – “Passport to Adventure”. The White’s did report that the Inyo exhibit won a gold ribbon.
