Katherine Little, of Bishop, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Little

She was born on February 3, 1946 in Rockville Centre, New York, to Richard and Doris Little.

Left behind is her beloved dog, Sadie, her constant hiking companion.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Eden Tipton, and grand step-daughter, Elise Tipton; brother Richard and wife, Katy; brother Joseph and wife, Anne; brother William and wife, Maureen; sister Patricia and husband Steve Richter.

She also leaves behind  five nieces and three nephews, and several grand nieces and nephews.

People will remember Katherine as an energetic, caring person who was always willing to help those in need.

Hard-working and dedicated, she held a variety of jobs during her forty plus years in the Bishop area, and touched many lives through her community service and volunteer work.

Always busy, if not hiking the high canyons or walking along the canals with her dog, Sadie, she’d be at the community garden checking on her veggies, playing golf, or enjoying a meal with her many friends.

She was a lover of the arts and enjoyed attending or contributing her time and expertise to local performances and events.

A funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (849 Home St., Bishop) at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15th. The service will be followed by a gathering at the Joseph House Inn (376 W. Yaney St., Bishop).
