In the midst of the first major storm system of the year, which dropped a foot of snow at Main Lodge and 2.5 feet up top, Mammoth Mountain has moved opening day up a week, and will now be opening on Thursday, Nov. 5, making Mammoth the first resort in California to open.

Great snow making temps in the forecast this week will mean plenty of additional man-made snow. At present, Broadway Express and Facelift Express will be spinning for opening day, but with additional snow it’s possible that we’ll be adding terrain. Lift tickets for opening day will be $50 and can be purchased at any ticket window.
