Mammoth Police have put out more information on the recent arrest of Bakersfield resident Alexander Eppes on charges related to carrying a concealed weapon. Police say that Eppes was arrested Saturday night after attempting to get into Henneseys Tavern with a loaded pistol.

Police report that Eppes was turned away at the door for being too drunk to enter the bar. When officers approached Eppes they saw a gun barrel sticking out of the hem of his sweater. Officers grabbed Eppes and took him to the ground and secured a semi-automatic .45 caliber pistol that was in his belt holster, police say. The gun had seven bullets in the magazine and one in the chamber, according to officers.

Eppes was arrested for carrying a loaded fire arm in public, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, and public intoxication.
