“The Destiny Awards recognize exceptional destination marketing efforts on the local and regional level,” said Nan Marchand Beauvois, Vice President, National Councils & General Manager, ESTO.

“This year’s honorees have executed excellent campaigns that have paid dividends for their communities in the form of increased visitation.”

This year’s award judges commented that VisitMammoth.com had well articulated challenges for which the website redesign was able to provide meaningful solutions.

“The destination brand really comes through, and hits all the right notes,” judges said. “Users seem to respond well to the optimizations. We thought Mammoth Lakes did an excellent job developing their unified website and brand by clearly integrating the needs of their target audiences.

“From the content to the visual cues, everything points back to an authentic destination brand with very clear experiences to offer consumers. The homepage in particular makes you feel like you’ve just jumped into an exciting outdoor adventure vacation.”

According to U.S. Travel Association’s website, the Destinations Council Destiny Award program fosters the development of imaginative and innovative destination marketing promotion programs and activities.

MLT was also a finalist in the Branding and Integrated Marketing: $2.5 million to $5 million category, with this award ultimately going to Seattle.

Additionally, on Thursday, September 7, VisitMammoth.com was awarded an Outstanding Website Award from the Web Marketing Association in its 2017 WebAwards Competition.

According to its website, the Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help define the standard of excellence for online marketing. The Association’s award programs recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing the most effective online marketing programs on the Internet today.

“This is an exciting time,” said Whitney Lennon, Director of Marketing for Mammoth Lakes Tourism. “This team has worked tirelessly to become an industry leader in providing the most optimal guest experience while supporting and driving traffic to our local businesses. It’s just fantastic that we are being recognized for all our hard work. I am so proud of this team.”
