On Wednesday, October 11 beginning at 2:00pm, the Town of Mammoth Lakes Planning and Economic Development Commission (PEDC) has scheduled a design review of the Community Multi-use Facility.

Design review is intended to ensure that the man-made environment complements the natural environment and looks at site and building design, colors, materials, illumination, and landscaping to achieve this goal and to enhance the image, attractiveness, and environmental qualities of the town as a mountain resort community.

The design review process for large projects such as the multi-use facility includes:

  • Review by staff for conformance with the Zoning Code, General Plan, Design Guidelines, Color Handbook, and other applicable documents;
  • Review by the Planning and Economic Development Commission (PEDC) Design Committee; and
  • Review and consideration for approval by the Planning and Economic Development Commission (PEDC).
