The Mammoth Town Council has selected Mono County Administrator Dave Wilbrecht as the new, permanent Town Manager for Mammoth Lakes. The Mono Supervisors issued a statement about Wilbrecht’s new job and appreciation for his eight years of work for Mono.
The Town’s press release said that Wilbrecht is well known in Mammoth Lakes both due to his current position with the county and previous service with the Town. Wilbrecht’s employment agreement will go before the Town Council in open session on April 20th. His first day on the job is June 1st.
Interim Town Manager Marianna Marysheva-Martinez will stay on until the end of her contract, June 30, to help the incoming Town Manager and Town Council with “current and emerging challenges such as the settlement of the $30 million development judgement, development of a budget that takes into account the judgment’s impact on the Town and creation and implementation of policies and procedures concerning finances and personnel.”
The Mono Supervisors added that the County will proceed with a formal recruitment to appoint a new administrative officer.
