Marine sergeant will appear next week on child molest charges

The case of a Marine sergeant charged with child molestation has been continued for a week in Mono County.

25-year-old Cody Carlisle was a Marine stationed at Pickel Meadows in Bridgeport when he was arrested. Carlisle also coached kids in Walker. According to law officers, Carlisle faces charges of attempted unlawful intercourse, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and child molestation.

The Sheriff’s Department had not revealed the alleged number or sex of victims. Officers did say Carlisle was a sergeant in the Marines at the Mountain Warfare Training Center and an assistant coach to the Walker High School Football team.

Carlisle remains in custody at the Mono County Jail in Bridgeport.
