28-year-old Matthew Charles Rasmussen of Bishop died January 21st in San Diego. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, January 30th at 2pm at the Tri County Fairgrounds Home Ec. building.

Matthew, also known as “Raz”, grew up in Bishop and graduated from Bishop High School in 2000. His family said he loved life and lived it to the fullest everyday. They said Matthew enjoyed his friends and family, loved music, animals, poker and tattoos.

Family said Matt will be remembered by his sparkling eyes, sweet beaming smile and gentle spirit.

Matthew Rasmussen is survived by his parents, David and Barbara Rasmussen of Bishop. His grandmother, Jean Rasmussen of Big Pine. Sister Christine Caillier (Calyer) and her husband Dale. Sister Tammie Chirrick (Shareick) and her husband Darrin of Big Pine and many other relatives.
