A vehicle stop near Bridgeport led to the arrest of a Mariposa man for methamphetamine related charges.

On July 27, 2010, at approximately 4:00pm a Mono County Deputy Sheriff conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Bridgeport area for speed and erratic driving, officials say. The Deputy contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 49-year-old Roger Conroy, of Mariposa Ca.

Officials say that during the investigation, Conroy displayed symptoms of being under the influence of narcotics and was ultimately placed under arrest. The Deputy conducted a search of the vehicle and located several baggies containing methamphetamine along with narcotic paraphernalia, according to officers.

Conroy was booked at the Bridgeport Sheriff Station and is set to face numerous charges including possession of a controlled substance for sales, and transportation of a controlled substance.
