monosheriffThe Mono County Coroner released the following statement on a death investigation in Big Pine:

“The Mono County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation into the death of a June Lake resident. On Tuesday, September 27th, at approximately 11:00 am, a Mono County Sheriff’s Department Deputy along with Mono County Paramedics and the June Lake Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in June Lake with the report of a man that had possibly committed suicide.  When the Mono County Deputy Sheriff arrived, he found the man, identified as Charles William Dailey, age 71, of June Lake, to be deceased from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. Autopsy results confirm this incident was a suicide and not a suspicious death.”
