Wow, I wonder if Ralph Obenberger will answer the big questions now! He has already admitted to profiling a social group of people from Burning Man! Wow talk about a violation of civil rights! Hmmm!

According to Ellen Obenberger’s question last week, she also profiles these people as date rapists! Quite the couple.

I wonder if he will be as uncomfortable at this forum! Tapping his feet nervously and not having his gustopo to intimidate the Ingrid supporters!

I have a feeling the big questions will be asked during this forum!

Yes, Ellen and Ralph seem to think the end justifies the means….exactly what we don’t want our LEO thinking and doing.

How can we expect someone to enforce the law when he thinks he is above it?

And, as a little research will tell you, GHB is used by some people as a recreational drug…I have no idea what it does for people but to assume that anyone in possession of it is a date rapist shows not only a lack of intelligence but also a very closed minded view of the world.

        @Sugarmagnolia

I am sure you are correct about Ellen about being worried about her husband losing his job…. with that in mind remember folks desperate people do desperate things. As everyone witnessed by Ralph’s comments, funny he says he wouldn’t change a thing he did in the Luman, Madrid, and Boulalaam matters, yet he chose to make up some whoppers Monday night and throw the County Council under the bus in the process.

Acts of desperation,,, in my opinion.

It is pretty sad that Obenberger so desperate that he uses his wife as a shill in the audience.

I’ll defend her right to be there and ask questions, she doesn’t give up her rights just because her husband is running.
Also, she’s probably afraid that he’s gonna lose his job. It’s hard to imagine him going back to being a deputy sheriff if he loses the election. She doesn’t want to be the sole financial support of their family.

I don’t think anyone was saying she doesn’t have the right to be there or to even ask a question.

Actually I am quite glad she did ask that question. She had weeks to think of a question and when she did ask it, she insinuated that a whole class of people are drug abusers and date rapists. I am sure IF she did think of this question herself she ran it by her husband first and he agreed with it. Shows both of their assumptions and what mind set they are in. Showed their true colors so to speak.

I also think you are right that she very well should be worried about her husband losing his job, and you are also correct it is doubtful that Obenberger will ever be LEO anywhere, just because his repution precedes him. If I was her I would also be worried about the Federal lawsuit filed against her husband. He has a lot more to lose than his job!

What is even more sad is the comments he makes like “I brought the wife out tonight” like she is lucky to be out amongst the populous!

It falls into line with how he addressed his female employees as “girls”. Please not his misogyny and sexist attitude in regards to women.

I think her pointed questions and remarks did him more harm than good. She seemingly lost her cool and her seething desperation was a bit hard to watch.

The beginning of the end! Bye bye!

You heard “the man” yourself folks! He wouldn’t have done anything differently on the Luman Panel, in Deputy Madrid’s situation, or have his deputies do anything differently in the Boulalaam situation. It came straight from the horses mouth last night!

He obviously doesn’t care about breaking civil rights laws, ethical practices, fair treatment of employees, or breaking the backs of the Mono County Taxpayers and he flat out said so! Not “a man” I want in charge!

Super Size, you have it all wrong. What Sheriff Obenberger proved is that he was the smartest person in the room! He showed that he is smarter than three different judges who in reality, know nothing about the law!

You should be humbled to hear his words.

I am just going to go out on a limb here and guess you are being sarcastic! Loll

After all it is the biggest joke I have witnessed in my lifetime, I am sure it is for you also!

        Good one!

  4. Publicly Unresponsive April 29, 2014 at 6:25 am #

Last night the public got to see how unresponsive Obenberger is to the public. One of the questions last night was if he would consider a citizen advisory committee and you guessed it! Nope!

He doesn’t want anyone around that department. He doesn’t want anyone from the “outside” except his minions around to see what is truly going on! He refuses to admit that he or the department have done anything wrong even though several judges have ruled that they have!

People have questions and they want them answered as demonstrated by the packed house and tons of questions last night with the one exception… they are too afraid to stand up and ask them, because the public knows him and his vendettas! They will write them down, but they won’t stand up. Pretty sad state of affairs of you ask me. You can see why the deputies just keep their mouth shut and go along, and you can see why he will not tolerate anyone that actually does stand up to him or stand up for what is right and wrong!

Time to take back “his” department and make it “our” department again! Mono County deserves better!

Looks like Ralph Obenberger can’t seem to get his story straight! When asked about whose decision it was to terminate Dick Luman, he stated it was the “County Counsel’ s decision” really? It was a two to one vote to terminate Dick Luman, Ralph Obenberger’s and Goode’s vote against Tim Hanson!

When asked about placing Madrid in the now famous “Walmart ” greeter position he stated that it was “County Council’s decision”! I guess he has short term memory loss! He testified in the appeal hearing as well as former Sheriff Rick Scholl, that they wanted to give the taxpayers a return on their investment!

Clearly obenberger will change the facts to and try to remove himself from the court decisions that clearly state he was involved and in charge! Now he is a blaming county council!

Deny deny deny and then lie!

I guess county council is in charge of the sheriffs department!

  6. Big Mac Attack April 29, 2014 at 6:58 pm #

Since County Council seems to be calling the shots according to Ralph Obenberger, I would like to know what we are paying him for? Maybe it is for putting us in the civil rights violation express lines,,,

Never mind the complete disregard for taxpayer funds being flushed down the toilet at the cost of an agenda for himself!

Interesting quote by Susan Scott I read today

“What is needed now is for leaders to become more open, more flexible, less egoistic and less hypocritical. We must loosen our death grip on whatever we believe to be the truth simply because it is how we want the truth to look. We must be honest with ourselves and invite honesty from others.”
