An erratic driver and a law enforcement stop led to the discovery of a bag of methamphetamine in the engine air filter

compartment of a vehicle along with other drug related items just off Highway 395 outside Bridgeport.

The Mono Sheriff’s Department said that at about 8 in the morning Wednesday, deputies stopped a vehicle traveling in what they described as an erratic manner. The officers searched the vehicle and said they found a pink plastic make-up bag that contained items for ingesting illegal narcotics.

Officers then found a brown plastic grocery bag that contained nine ounces of methamphetamine. The bag was concealed inside the engine air filter compartment if the vehicle.

Officers arrested the two people inside – Joaquin Agiar, Jr., 21 of Perris, CA who was on felony probation out of San Diego for the transportation of a controlled substance and Brandi Adame, 34 of Lemon Grove. Officers booked both of them on transportation of a controlled substance.
