MAMMOTH LAKES POLICE SWEAR IN TWO RESERVE POLICE OFFICERS

On Tuesday, November 12, the Mammoth Lakes Police Department swore in two Level One Reserve Police Officers.  Mike and Ingrid Braun, both retired from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), bring the number of MLPD Reserves to four.  Ingrid retired as a Lieutenant after 21 years of service, and Mike retired as a Senior Lead Officer with 26 years of law enforcement experience.

Level One Reserve Officers are able to work unsupervised after completing field training.  In addition to working patrol shifts and special events, Ingrid will assist with follow-up investigations and Mike will help coordinate a Neighborhood Watch Program.

The Brauns join Level One Reserves Karen Smart and Dick Worcester.  Chief Dan Watson said, “One year ago we didn’t have any Reserve Officers.  These four will help us get through what we hope will be a busy winter season.  All of our Reserves are retired law enforcement officers and they bring a wealth of experience to the MLPD
