The Pine Creek Village company of local investors revealed this week that the management contract with Pacific Corporation at Rovana has expired. A new management company has taken over at Rovana and actually reduced some rents.

John Hooper of the Pine Creek company said that DeLa Rosa Management, a local Bishop firm, will now take charge of Rovana. Hooper said that they have lowered some rents already.

Hooper said the company will also take steps to supply new appliances to homes in the area. This news follows concerns over rents and evictions that had taken place in the last few years.

The Pine Creek company did submit a tentative map on a larger project that would include new housing of various types but with much less density than the unpopular project proposed by Pacifica. That project now moves through Inyo County planning.
