Mammoth Police have arrested a parolee with a history of theft. On Tuesday, Mammoth Police report that 38 year old Shawn Snyder, lately a resident of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for alleged marijuana sales and grand theft.

Police report that Officer Ron Gladding received information on possible stolen property and identified Shawn Snyder as the possible suspect. Snyders Parole Agent gave police permission to test Snyder for drugs and to search his residence for stolen property, police report.

Police say Snyder tested positive for THC, and was taken into custody. Police say that Snyder gave false information on the location of his residence, a travel trailer said to be located in Bishop. Officers say they found his trailer in Mammoth. During the search of the trailer, Officers say they found property reported stolen in 2006 and 2009. Items recovered include a Fuji Digital Camera, and a Garmin GPS unit, according to Mammoth Police Lt. Jim Short.

Officers report they also found Snyder in possession of marijuana for sale.

Snyder was charged with Violation of Parole, Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Marijuana over 28.5 grams, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and Possession of Controlled Substance Paraphernalia. He was taken to the Mono County Jail.
