When Bishop Police Chief Kathleen Sheehan stepped up to the podium at the Bishop City Council Study Session, she said she learned something from Hollywood – don’t try to upstage a cute kid or dog. With that, the Chief introduced Xray.xray

Xray, the police dog, is now on the street with his handler, Officer Brent Gillespie. Xray graduated from training as a drug-sniffing canine.

Chief Sheehan said she hopes the Council would support a special demonstration of Xray for those who contributed to his purchase. A number of community members donated funds toward Xray. Chief Sheehan said she thinks they will appreciate an actual demonstration of the dog’s aggressive and accurate ability to sniff out illegal drugs.
