The Southern Mono Historical Society (SMHS) would like to thank all who helped make our Cajun Night by the Creek jazz fundraiser event a HUGE success.

Most especially our headliner Tom Rigney and Flambeau who were a favorite band at the past Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee and who brought down the tent with their fabulous Cajun sound on Sunday, 7/10/16.

We’d also like to thank Joe Gray, Jr., Marty Burgenbaugh and Andy for the smooth jazz pre-dinner and dinner music.  SAVE THE DATE: 7/9/17 for Tom and his band to return to the Hayden Cabin next year!

We appreciated dovetailing off Cathleen Calderon’s free Mammoth Jazz Weekend at The Village at Mammoth as this was a joint marketing effort.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the following partners:  Mike Melin of M & M Events and his crew, Brian Knowles and crew of Eastern Sierra Audio Video, John Kovatch of Mammoth Catering & Events, Sue Ebersold of Sue’s Cakes/The Breakfast Club, Mission Linen Supply, Snowcreek Resort and the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa, Town of Mammoth Lakes, Mono County Tourism, The Sheet, KMMT-KRHV, Sierra Wave Media, KIBS-KBOV, Channel 12-Dan McConnell, Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Mammoth Lakes Tourism.

Thank you to all our current and new SMHS members who came to support the historical society and enjoy the dinner and music.

We couldn’t have done this without our wonderful volunteers; SMHS Board members Marianne O’Connor, Robert & Sue Joki, Dave & Sharon Harvey, Barbara Richter, Peter Bernasconi and Noelle & Jay Deinken, June & Kelly Simpkins, Abagael Giles and Levi, Patrick Allen, Chuck & Marci Satterfield, Debbe Eilts, Robin Morning, Lesley Bruns, Mary Canada, Shelly Silva, Andy Johnson, Marshalle Genevieve and all the businesses who allowed us to place our poster in your windows.  Apologies if we neglected to list anyone.

The Mammoth Museum at the Hayden Cabin at 5489 Sherwin Creek Road is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through September.  Admission is free, however we gratefully accept donations, sponsorships and memberships.  The SMHS is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

Thank you again!
