This week, the Mammoth Town Council will likely hire an Interim Town Manager to start to work next week.mammoth_town_office

Mammoth Public Works Director Ray Jarvis currently functions as the Acting Town Manager. Jarvis said that the Council is “close to getting a deal done. The goal,” he said, “is to have an interim manager start next week.”

Mayor Skip Harvey said that the Council would discuss this in a closed session at Wednesday’s Special Town Council meeting on budget issues at 8am Wednesday morning.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that the Interim Town Manager under consideration is Marianna Marysheva-Martinez, once known as the City of Oakland’s budget czar when she served as assistant city manager.

Officials may consider her for duties as interim town manager and finance director. Marysheva-Martinez is around 35-years-old.
