The Town of Mammoth Lakes issued the following press release:
The Town of Mammoth Lakes would like to inform the community that the Town Offices will be closed on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
Town staff will be busy cleaning up the offices and working on filing, recycling and record retention all day. The Mammoth Lakes Police Department will remain open to the public on September 14, 2011 and will be available to assist with any urgent matters. The Mammoth Lakes Police Department can be reached at (760) 934-2011.
The Town would like to thank the community in advance for their understanding, and apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary office closure may cause.

Not directly related, but why did the repaving stop on Main Street? No work for weeks. Road is only half paved.
