Bishop Police Public Information Officer Katie Coffman reports:
On February 4, 2012 at 2256 hours K9 Officer Gillespie conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling south bound on N. Main Street. The vehicle was stopped for not using proper turn signals and a defective windshield. When Officer Gillespie approached the vehicle he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Officer Gillespie, along with assistance from the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was searched and several suspicious items were located. Inside the vehicle, officers located a large amount of cash, 20 grams of Marijuana, 14 grams of Methamphetamine dispersed in multiple bags, glass pipes, and 1 gram of powdered Cocaine. INET was also called out and assisted with the investigation.
The driver, MORGAN, Timothy Clifford and the passenger GREENE, Kelly Lynn were arrested for
11377(A) HS-Possession of Controlled Substance; 11378 HS-Possession of a Controlled Substance for
Sale; 11379(A) HS-Transportation/Etc Controlled Substances; 11350(A) HS- Possess Narcotic Controlled
Substance; and 11364 HS- Controlled Substance Paraphernalia. Both subjects are currently at the Inyo
County Jail awaiting arraignment on the listed charges above.
